Can you say undefeated? Well if you can’t, you are probably not a fan of the women’s soccer team here at SMSU, because that’s exactly what they are with their 10-0-0 record. This is the team’s first winning season since 1999.
Over homecoming weekend, the team competed in two away games. The first game saw them play against Bemidji State where Miranda Cadena had three goals, leading the team to victory.
On Sunday, they played Minnesota Crookston, where they had another shutout.
The weekend before, the team played St. Cloud and Duluth, where they went 1-0 and 3-0 with back-to-back shutouts. The three previous games were also shutouts.
So if you are not a fan of the women’s soccer team here at SMSU you need to get your ducks in a row and go see a game.
The women’s soccer team will go on to face the Upper Iowa Peacocks and the Winona State Warriors in two games on Oct. 12 and 13, respectively.
