Give for M4L Day

Mustangs 4 Life Day (M4L day) is an annual fundraiser the SMSU foundation puts on to unite staff, students and alumni. The event is a 24-hour fundraiser that will take place on May 1, 2025.

The SMSU Foundation has set a goal of raising $125,000 this year. This is a $25,000 dollar increase from last year.

To encourage giving and make it more fun the campus has put challenges and incentives in place. These include, “Donors from unique states,” when people from twenty-five unique states donate then there will be a $1,000 deposited in the Southwest Fund. Another incentive is “First time donor,” one randomly selected first time donor will have $500 added to their supported fund.

Anyone can participate in M4L day, it is encouraged. It says on the site that, “Our current and future SMSU students are encouraged and challenged in the classroom, on the playing fields, and through a variety of activities that need our support. The campaigns that are currently available will allow continued growth in their academic and professional careers.”

To donate go to m4lday.com and choose where you want your money to go. This can be athletics, Center for international education, the presidential scholarship and so much more.

When donating keep in mind that there is a $10 minimum donation. Each donation goes through a processing fee of 6.2% plus $0.30 credit card processing and platform fees, though there is an option to cover that charge when you donate. Also, all donations are final, and no refund will be offered.

This is a great chance to give back to SMSU and the community it helped build. Look for opportunities to have your donations matched or increased and consider giving this M4L day.
