North Korea’s new leader, Kim Jong Un, has been showing up a lot in the news lately thanks to some controversy about nearly provoking nuclear war.  The United States, in response, has mobilized their greatest weapon: memes.

Kim Jong Un has been showing up all over the place in the last few weeks as a part of the United States’ first wave of meme-based assaults.  Most of them include jabs at his weight, with pictures of him pointing to one thing or another and asking ‘can I eat this?’  Another has him holding up a box of twinkies, and one has him confronting one of his generals, with the caption ‘when I said nuke the Chinese, I meant put the takeout in the microwave!’

Others take jabs at his intelligence.  In one he is holding up a floppy disc, saying ‘with this technology we will bring the United States to their knees’.  In another he’s smiling, with the caption ‘I have no idea what I’m doing’.

Hopefully this cruel assault on his character by the nations internet trolls with destroy his credibility and get him laughed out of office.  On the other hand, it might provoke him to do something rash.  As stated above, he really doesn’t know what he’s doing.
