1. Stay Warm. Even walking from the dorms to the school can be bad if not dressed correctly, so make sure you layer up! It might be a hassle walking around with three layers draped over your arm, but at least you’ll stay warm out in the cold.
2. Budget your Dining Dollars! It might be tempting to use up a large chunk of your dining dollars now, but when midterms and finals roll around, you’ll be wishing you’d saved them.
3. Get organized. Now is the time to get your classes in order, make sure you’ve got a good system for notes taking, have your projects planned out, etc. Start the semester off organized and you’ll have a good chance of staying that way!
4. Get your check! If you are planning to graduate in the next year and a half, go over a graduate degree check so that you can be done on time and not have to take an extra semester because you forgot a necessary class.
5. Have fun, now. With all the negativity in the news and all the stress that the semester can bring, make sure you live it up. Go sledding. Build a snowman on campus. Have a snowball fight, just you know, stay warm!
