Congratulations on two parts to the Mustang Football team. With an impressive 37-21 victory over the Minot State Beavers, they also con- ducted themselves with dignity expected from a student athletes.
Despite numerous late hits and personal fouls done to them, the Mustangs refused to be caught up in it. Instead, they focused and took their frustrations to the field by taking four turnovers against the Beavers (three interceptions and a forced fumble).
Jared Twedt, Dashawn Miller and Aj Page were our key players on defense. Twedt had two interceptions and returned them for 15 yards while Page forced 21 yards lost while Dashawn got an incredible 3 sacks over Minot.
On offense, Tyler Tonderum ran over the Minot defense racking up 135 yards for three touchdowns. He must have appeared as a blur to the defense when he made his biggest play, a 46 yard run for a touchdown.
Charlie Kern also had a good game, throwing for 250 yards and two touchdowns. Both of his passes for touch- downs were 30+ yarders. He completed 21 of 29 passes.
The Mustangs will face off against the Bemidji State Beavers on Sept. 28 at 1 p.m.
