The Mustangs athletic department had an amazing weekend with win after win after win. But I think the main stars of this last weekend were the ladies of the SMSU soccer team.

Going back to back with shutouts against Minot State and St. Mary’s, the team kept their undefeated streak alive (6-0-0).

They scored a total of six points this weekend with Miranda Cadena and Justine Hauck both scoring two goals each and were clear key players on the offense assault this weekend. Brienna Dehkes (goal keeper) had an awesome games this weekend with a total of seven saves.

So far this season Briennna has stopped 90% of shots taken on her, which makes her a formidable defensive wall to surpass and making her a cornerstone of the Mustangs game plan.

The Mustangs will face off against St. Cloud State and U of M Duluth next weekend.
