Super Bowl 60 was held on February 8th, 2025, between the Seahawks and Patriots. Sam Darnold VS Drake Maye was the quarterback matchup. It began with Green Day being the opening band for the Super Bowl. And then the teams got introduced and all the pompon circumstances. And then it was finally game time.
The Seahawks had the opening possession of the game, and they drove it down into the red zone only to kick a field goal , making the score 3-0 Seahawks. The Patriots then got their first possession of the game, and they drove it into Seahawks’ territory before May got sacked, leading to a punt.
The score was 3-0 Seahawks after the first quarter. Seahawks again in the second quarter, drove it into the red zone and kicked a field goal, then it was 6-0. The Seahawks defense shut down the Patriots again. The Seahawks did kick another field goal right before the half, so it was 9-0 Seahawks in the half. Bad Bunny’s time to shine was halftime.
Bad Bunny did a great job with his halftime show this year. Bad Bunny did a great job of not being political after all the hoopla before the game that people said about him being political. Turning Point USA and Conservatives have an alternative halftime show because they thought Bad Bunny would make it political, and it would be too woke in their eyes. But the truth is, he had a great message about the country, and it united the country. It was probably the greatest halftime show that I’ve ever watched as a twenty-year-old. Then it was time for the second half.
Patriots started the second half with a three-and-out and like the first half, the Seahawks went down and kicked a field goal on their opening drive of the second half, making it 12-0 Seahawks. It was 12-0 Seahawks after three quarters. The Seahawks got a fumble at the end of the third quarter and turned it into a touchdown; it was 19-0 early in the fourth.
Drake fraud, just kidding Drake Maye, finally showed up, and the Patriots scored on three plays to make it 19-7. Drake Maye threw an interception, and the Seahawks turned it into a field goal, and it was 22-7. Then the Seahawks dominant defense got a pick six to put the dagger in the Patriots 29-7. And the Patriots scored a useless touchdown to make the score 29-13. Kenneth Walker had a chance to score a touchdown, but it got called back on a holding call. The Seahawks won Super Bowl 60 29-13.
The story of the game was the dominating Seahawks defense and Kenneth Walker. The Seahawks defense had six to seven sacks, depending on which side you were rooting for, with a defensive touchdown and three turnovers. Kenneth Walker had over 100+ scrimmage yards and was named Super Bowl MVP. The Seahawks did what the Eagles did to Patrick Mahomes last year in the Super Bowl, and they won. Plus, Sam Darnold finished his dang story as Cody Rhodes did a few years ago. For those who don’t watch WWE, Cody Rhodes was a wrestler for a long time, and he had a storyline where he was trying to make it to the top and become a WWE champion and make his dad, who is up in heaven proud, and Cody ended up finishing his story at Wrestle Mania 40. So, I make that connection because Sam Darnold reminds me of Cody Rhodes, and because of that, the Seahawks are Super Bowl 60 Champions.
